New Benefit Benchmark Tool Now Available on Website

Benefits now representing as much as 40% of an Employees compensation, it is important that Employers know how their benefits compare to other Employer's in the state and also their industry.  HR-OneSource has teamed up with David P. Lind & Associates to provide you with this information.

When considering the differences in your employee benefits from other Iowa employer groups, a new resource tool is now available.  As employers begin their insurance renewal process and bargaining efforts around this time of year, they increasingly need to know how their benefits compare.  David P. Lind & Associates annually conducts the Iowa Employer Benefits Study© and has created a web-based application to meet this need.  Employers seeking detailed comparisons on benefit plan designs, insurance rates, and cost sharing with employees - particularly within their respective industry - can access such information at HR-OneSource's Members-Only website.  This site contains current information in all areas of employment including employee benefits.

Using this web application, one can self-initiate and generate a detailed color report, which is presentation-ready, that offers a thorough comparison of your benefits against the average Iowa employer and the industry of your choice.  An example of this report can be downloaded, free of charge, when you visit www.hr-onesource.com/members use the "guest" login and select the Benefit Benchmark link.

This resource is simple to use and takes little time.  Input time is kept to a minimum (usually about 30 minutes or less) by means of an easy-to-use format and menu selection that walks the user through the process.  Employer-based benefits such as healthcare, prescription drugs, dental, life, and disability insurance, traditional leave, paid time off, and pension related contributions are just a few of the things available for you to compare.  Insurance rates and common employer/employee contributions are also broken out for your consideration.  In addition to current comparative data, a history is shown on of how benefits and related costs have changed.

To purchase access to HR-OneSources' Members-only Website and the Benefits Benchmark tool, contact Tom Hedrick at 515-221-1718 or email Tom at hedrickt@hr-onesource.com.  For a limited time, receive a 10% discount off membership fees.
