EEO-1 and
VETS-100 Reports due September 30, 2006
The September 30, 2006, deadline for employers who are
required to file two federal reports – the EEO-1 Report and
the VETS-100 Report – is rapidly approaching.
The EEO-1 Report – formally known as the “Employer
Information Report” – is a government survey requiring many
employers to provide a count of their employees by job
category and then by ethnicity, race and gender. The EEO-1
Report must be filed by employers with federal government
contracts of $50,000 or more and 50 or more employees; and
employers who do not have a federal government contract but
have 100 or more employees. The report must use employment
numbers from any pay period in July through September of
that year.
Additionally, employers with federal contracts or
subcontracts of $25,000 or more must also file the
VETS-100 Report by September 30, 2006. Contractors must
report the total number of disabled veterans, Vietnam-era
veterans, and other veterans as well as the total number of
all current employees in each job category and at each
hiring location.
